About ALA

The Association of Legal Administrators (“Your connection to knowledge, resources and networking”) was founded in 1971 and currently has over 10,000 members with chapters in 30 countries around the world.  It provides educational support and resources for its mission to: 

  • Promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of all members of the legal management team;
  • Improve the quality of management in law firms and other legal service organizations; and
  • Represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large.
