Annual Managing Member’s Breakfast

Our annual Managing Members Breakfast was held at Tallgrass Country Club on Weds., March 28, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. John Michalik, author of “The Extraordinary Managing Partner: Reaching the Pinnacle of Law Firm Management” was our speaker. He is the former Executive Director of ALA as well as the former Executive Director and CEO of the Washington State Bar Association.

Our program was entitled WALA and WBA: Reinforcing the Connection, presented by Karin Kirk, WBA Executive Director. Holiday Luncheon

WALA held its holiday luncheon at Murdock Theatre catered by Truffles. A homemade gift exchange was enjoyed by participants.

WALA Volunteers

On December 1st, WALA members, some of their Business Partners and other employees of their firms volunteered their time at the Salvation Army annual Bag and Tag Event to prepare bags for holiday gifts to be distributed by the Salvation Army.
WALA members and some of their Business Partners volunteered time at the local Kansas Food Bank as well as the American Red Cross as part of the WALA Community Challenge efforts during the month of October.

Summer Retreat

Mary Turner and the WALA board put on a great retreat. There was good value in the round table discussions, with helpful ideas that members can implement in their firms. The facility was great and the food delicious! Special thanks to the retreat hosts/sponsors at DOS.
